CNA Certification

Employer Recognition Award

Each year, CNA gives a health-care facility the Employer Recognition Award for showing exemplary, sustained support of the certification program and CNA-certified registered nurses (RNs). To be eligible for the award, employers must be nominated by a current CNA-certified RN or candidate, or a group of CNA-certified RNs and/or candidates employed by the same employer.

Why nominate your employer?

CNA-certified nurses or candidates are encouraged to nominate their employer to recognize the support they have given you or your peers as you obtain or renew your certification. Several awards are available from CNA.

The Employer Recognition Award winner receives:

  • a framed certificate;
  • two registrations redeemable toward the 2013 application for initial or renewal certification; and
  • a one-year subscription to Canadian Nurse.

The honourable mention winner receives:

  • a framed certificate; and
  • a one-year subscription to Canadian Nurse.

The Innovation Award winner receives a framed certificate.

All award recipients are also recognized in relevant professional journals, such as Canadian Nurse, in materials displayed at nursing conferences and on CNA’s website.

Winners will be contacted in early May.
