Partners
All of the partners participate on the National Advisory Committee to guide and coordinate the project across jurisdictions. The Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan partners are implementing the collection and utilization of the C-HOBIC measures in clinical care settings through both provincially funded and project-funded initiatives. PEI project members are focusing on planning the future integration of the C-HOBIC measures in their provincial clinical information system and on coordinating with nursing educators about the project. The Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care has generously granted C-HOBIC the right to use the intellectual property related to data standards and educational materials developed by Ontario's Health Outcomes for Better Information and Care program (formerly the Nursing and Health Outcomes Project).
The C-HOBIC partners are:
- Canadian Nurses Association (national sponsor and project administrator)
- Ontario's Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care through its Health System Strategy Division, Health Outcomes for Better Information and Care; Health Human Resources Strategy Division, Nursing Secretariat; and eHealth Ontario office
- Saskatchewan Health through its Health Information Solutions Centre and Health Workforce Planning Branch
- Winnipeg Regional Health Authority
- Prince Edward Island Department of Health through its Community Hospitals and Continuing Care Division, Provincial Acute Care Division and CIS Project
