Tim Guest is the vice-president of Integrated Health Services — Program of Care 2 and chief nursing officer at the Nova Scotia Health Authority.
Most of Tim’s clinical experience during 25 years as a registered nurse is in acute care, while his administrative responsibilities have covered all aspects of the acute and community care sectors as well as urban and rural academic settings. He also has experience in health-system planning, which includes leading the planning and implementation of a provincial clinical IT project.
Prior to relocating to Nova Scotia Tim held senior executive positions in Alberta, including committee work at the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta and local and board representation for the United Nurses of Alberta.
Tim has a master’s in business administration in executive management with a specialization in leadership from Royal Roads University and a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Alberta. He is also a member of the Canadian College of Health Leaders.
