Retired nurses — whether you were a registered nurse, nurse practitioner, licensed/registered practical nurse or registered psychiatric nurse — can join CNA in the emeritus nurse category.
Joining CNA means staying active in your nursing community, receiving preferred rates and discounts with various businesses and service providers, access to Canadian Nurse online, automatic membership in the International Council of Nurses and access to a wealth of CNA benefits.
The annual fee is $63.65 (plus applicable taxes) and non-refundable. Learn more about the membership fees.

You can also submit your application via mail or fax by downloading our membership form.
Purchasing a membership online requires a credit card. Memberships completed by mail or fax can be purchased via credit card or cheque.
If you currently maintain a licence to practise, you do not qualify for a retired nurse membership with CNA. If you are still licensed to practice, you can join CNA in other membership categories (see how to join).
