Sarah Painter

Sarah Painter is a Registered Nurse currently practicing as a Flight Nurse for STARS Air Ambulance providing critical care helicopter transport in Manitoba. She is also a Client Care Coordinator for the Medical Assistance in Dying program. She has proudly served as a full time in direct care provider for twelve years (and counting). Sarah graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Manitoba in 2009. During her undergraduate studies, she served two terms as President of the Canadian Nursing Students Association. During this exciting time, she helped finalize the numerous years and efforts of many students and leaders alike, bringing student membership in the Canadian Nurses Association to fruition, making her the first student member of the Board of Directors in history. Alongside her clinical practice, she continues to remain a dedicated member of the larger nursing community; she is a founding member and past Board Director of the Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba. During this time, she helped found and facilitate a grass roots new graduate initiative for the Association - the Emerging Leaders Network. Sarah is currently a student at Lund University in Sweden pursuing a Master of Science in Human Factors and System Safety.
