CNA had been looking forward to an educational program & celebration of the International Year of the Nurse & the Midwife at our 2020 biennial convention. However, we’re cancelling the event due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For the annual meeting, we’re exploring other options.
We’ll contact registrants, presenters, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors with further instructions regarding the cancellation of CNA’s 2020 biennial convention. Thank you!
Ottawa, Shaw Centre
June 23-24, 2020 (convention follows the annual meeting of members on June 22)
The theme for CNA’s 2020 biennial convention is Take Care of Nurses to Take Charge of Health. Because the well-being of nurses is essential to building effective health systems, the convention will be full of inspirational ideas, conversations and practical strategies for ensuring the nursing profession is ready to deliver quality care. Abstracts will be presented in one of four different formats.
We’re focusing on nurses’ health in part because the World Health Organization has declared 2020 to be the Year of the Nurse and Midwife in celebration of the 200th anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth.
We’re developing an exciting lineup of events, including speakers, interactive sessions, nurse-led presentations and a leadership workshop.
