Canadian Nursing Informatics Association (CNIA)

The Canadian Nursing Informatics Association (CNIA) is a member of CNA’s Canadian Network of Nursing Specialties. As the voice for nursing informatics in Canada, CNIA partners with jurisdictions and nursing and health informatics experts and organizations across Canada to ensure that nursing informatics informs clinical practice, education, research, administration and policy.

CNIA offers regular webinars to its members to foster innovation by expanding and disseminating knowledge about nursing and health informatics initiatives in Canada. Members are updated bi-monthly with news about upcoming workshops, conferences, annual meeting and educational events as well as opportunities for them to become involved in various nursing informatics initiatives in Canada.

In partnership with the Canadian Nurses Foundation, CNIA established the Dr. Kathryn J. Hannah Nursing Informatics Scholarship. This scholarship supports RNs pursuing graduate studies in nursing informatics at the master’s or PhD level.
