On behalf of the board of directors, staff, and members of the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA), we would like to congratulate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the occasion of her Platinum Jubilee.

As our Head of State for 70 years, Her Majesty is the only monarch most of Canada’s 448,000 nurses have ever known. Through those decades, Her Majesty’s unwavering support and commitment to the nursing profession and Canadian nurses has been a constant source of reassurance. Our organization was honoured in 1957 when the Queen became the Royal Patron of CNA, as reflected in our coat of arms.

We thank the Queen for her years of service and send our best wishes.

We remain Her Majesty’s faithful and devoted servants,

Tim Guest, M.B.A., B.Sc.N., RN
President

Michael Villeneuve, M.Sc., B.Sc.N., RN, FAAN
Chief Executive Officer

Patron,
Her Majesty the Queen
