Marie Greer-King is recognized for her exceptional clinical leadership and contributions to advancing nurse practitioner practice. Since 2012, she has served as the sole nurse practitioner at Alexandra Marine & General Hospital in Goderich, Ontario, providing comprehensive, patient-centred care across emergency services, prenatal care, mental health, and chronic disease management. A champion of rural health innovation, Marie has strengthened access to care and translated frontline expertise into improvements for patients and families. She led the grant-funded virtual baby project and developed the Breastfeeding Information Resource for the County of Huron (BIRCH) database, enhancing education, partnerships, and maternal-child health programming. As the 2026 president of the Nurse Practitioners’ Association of Ontario, building upon other professional practice and leadership roles, she advances advocacy, professional visibility, and policy dialogue. Marie also serves as an adjunct clinical professor at the Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing, Western University, mentoring nurse practitioner students and emerging leaders. Her compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-informed leadership strengthens nursing and rural health care.
